Things to Do
Things to Do in the area:

Summit County is known as Colorado’s playground and as a result you will not run out of things to do.  Here is a list of some of the more popular activities for guests in River Run:

Gondola rides to the top – walk through River Run and go through the construction area to catch a ride up.

Putt Putt – located outside the front door, (phot0 view from the condo balcony) .

Pool – River Run’s only pool is located at Dakota, the water is warm year round.

Hot tubs – a big one and a little one, the water is warmer year round.  The button for the jets is located on a stone column by the bath house.

Spa – sign up for a relaxing day at Keystone’s spa

Dining – there are several options in River Run, Keystone, and Dillon ranging from simple and cheap to complicated and expensive.

Hikes – there are numerous trails (paved, crushed stone, and dirt) for you to enjoy.

Bike riding – your options include paved trails, single tracks, roads and downhill.  There are three locations within River Run to rent bikes and equipment.

Boating – at Lakeside located west of River Run within Keystone Resort, you can rent kayaks, paddle boats and canoes.  At the Dillon Marina, you can rent pontoon, motor, or sail boats.

Stables – there are two stable areas at Keystone that offer horse rides, wagon rides, chuck wagon dinners and trips.

Golf – Keystone offers two beautiful public courses: The River Course at Keystone and Keystone Ranch Golf Course.

Lakeside – this Keystone neighborhood offers a mountain bike skills area, sand volleyball, a playground and the Keystone Adventure Center.

Fishing – fly fishing is available a mere 50 yards from Dakota Lodge or in any of the numerous streams in the area.  Lake Dillon also offers an opportunity to fish from the banks or a boat.  There is a Fly Fishing shop at Lakeside Village that offers trips, demos, classes and equipment.

Outlet Shopping Mall – the Silverthorne Outlets, enough said!

Ghost town – sort of.  Take a right at the end of the big parking lot and follow this road to the town of Montezuma, which is officially listed as a ghost town although it does have some full and part time residents.

Playgrounds – there is one located right outside of Dakota Lodge, one located next to the stream behind Dakota and one near Lakeside.
