Things to Do in the area:
Summit County is known as Colorado’s playground and as a
result you will not run out of things to do.
Here is a list of some of the more popular activities for guests in
River Run:
Gondola
rides to the top – walk through River Run and go through the construction a
rea
to catch a ride up.
Putt
Putt – located outside the front door, (phot0 view from the condo balcony) .

Pool
– River Run’s only pool is located at Dakota, the water is warm year round.
Hot
tubs – a big one and a little one, the water is warmer year round. The button for the jets is located on a stone
column by the bath house.
Spa
– sign up for a relaxing day at Keystone’s spa
Dining
– there are several options in River Run, Keystone, and Dillon ranging from
simple and cheap to complicated and expensive.
Hikes
– there are numerous trails (paved, crushed stone, and dirt) for you to enjoy.
Bike
riding – your options include paved trails, single tracks, roads and
downhill. There are three locations
within River Run to rent bikes and equipment.
Boating
– at Lakeside located west of River Run within Keystone Resort, you can rent
kayaks, paddle boats and canoes. At the
Dillon Marina, you can rent pontoon, motor, or sail boats.
Stables
– there are two stable areas at Keystone that offer horse rides, wagon rides, chuck
wagon dinners and trips.
Golf
– Keystone offers two beautiful public courses: The River Course at Keystone
and Keystone Ranch Golf Course.
Lakeside
– this Keystone neighborhood offers a mountain bike skills area, sand
volleyball, a playground and the Keystone Adventure Center.
Fishing
– fly fishing is available a mere 50 yards from Dakota Lodge or in any of the
numerous streams in the area. Lake
Dillon also offers an opportunity to fish from the banks or a boat. There is a Fly Fishing shop at Lakeside
Village that offers trips, demos, classes and equipment.
Outlet
Shopping Mall – the Silverthorne Outlets, enough said!
Ghost
town – sort of. Take a right at the end
of the big parking lot and follow this road to the town of Montezuma, which is
officially listed as a ghost town although it does have some full and part time
residents.
Playgrounds
– there is one located right outside of Dakota Lodge, one located next to the
stream behind Dakota and one near Lakeside.
